Hello Folks,

After a month of haggling back and forth with the dealer, i signed today for my new 550. This is the third 5 for me, having had a 2001 540, and a 2004 545, but this is the first one i ordered brand new.

I am told that the car will be delivered by the end of August, however, the dealer offered to give me an ID so I can track the car's progress. Not sure how to do this !

After lurking for a long time, i was able to make an intelligent buy decision thanks to you good folks and your advice.

u can track using that production number at bmwusa.com and you need to create an account and you go to order tracking.
