Has nothing to do w/ the year (not yet anyway), only if you have Nav or not in the US, Nav Pro, or Nav Business in Europe.? Nav Business has the 16x9 screen, Nav Pro has the 2:35:1 screen (8.8 inches diagonal I think).? Everyone w/ Nav in the US gets the proversion, everyone w/o get's the business nav screen.

Yup thats right you get the small screen without Nav here in the US and the bigger screen with NAV.

That makes sense, the loaner I have right now has no nav and it has the small screen ... I have nav and my screen is much larger ... size does matter!

It's been posted on here many times... The Acura Nav is the best there is. I wish the guys at BMW would study that set-up and do their best to match it in the coming years.

Although the small screen doesn't have the features of the larger one it works much better, i.e. 3 times as quick. I 'm so disapointed at the speed of my nav pro compared to nav bus. Also the rest of the features are really slow with the bigger screen version. You really have to plan your requirements in advance.

The reason the smaller screen is faster is because it doesn't have as much to process...that's like saying it takes longer for me to fine songs on my Ipod...My Ipod has 10,000 songs and yours have 10 songs :'( . It also depend on what you are doning on the IDrive...like searching of something on the DVD or just going from sceen to screen.

Al contraire Mr.

I am not sure if what small screen you're referring as gay; the smaller business nav screen, or the small screen on the right side of the professional screen?

The small screen is very usefull when used for arrow display in conjunction with the larger map. I usually leave the small display on "current position" It tells me what road I am and I find it kind of usefull too.

I couldn't find any info about the size of the nav screen, not even from BMW's official web site. The car I test drove has a very small one but I have seen many with wide screens.?

small: http://www.e60.net/information/options/int...akota/titanium/

large: http://www.e60.net/information/options/int...ta/dark_poplar/

So what is the exact dimension of the nav screen? Thanks!

The "Small Screen" is a non-nav car, and the "Wide Screen" is a nav car in the US.
