Beige will look likie a mess quickly, especially the carpet, I think its for older, "cleaner" people. Grey looks like the interior of a Toyota taxi in Singapore  Go for the BLACK, nice combo with Silver grey
Couldn't agree more. However, it must be said that the dakota black is nearer to charcoal, being even more practical than traditional black.

Black also compliments the standard Titanium trim, so could save a few Pounds/Dollars here. Definitely gives a classy contemporary feel, suiting the younger driver.

IMO Beige and Grey need contasting colour to break up. E39 had more black plastic, these shades simply do not quite work in the E60. In fact I really wouldn't be surprised if a little tinkering was made at the facelift.

I chose dakota black to go with Silver Grey and am extremely pleased with my decision.

If really not keen on black, then consider Auburn Looks great in the flesh

I have an '05 545i, black on black. And I a having multiple issue with it, although I am in the minority here. My black leather is spotchy, lighter/darker in areas, the rear seat is several shades lighter than the rest of the leather. And none of the blacks match.
Seeing BMW NA field rep tomorrow- hopefully they will address this in a positive way.
But my 2003 540 is black on black, with no issues whatsoever.
And my 2001 325ci was black on grey, with no issues whatsoever.
And my 2005 X5 4.4i was black on truffle, with no issues whatsoever.

I'm running with titanium silver and grey dakota leather trim without any issues.

It's not cold or clinical - but rather light, airy and crisp.

Makes the car seem much bigger insider too when compared to the darkler alternatives, IMHO.

I concur... I seem to like this combo.

Click on link below to see pics of my beige leather interior. The car is now one year old and leather still looks good but my 2 kids mostly travel in my wifes car. If you get beige do order black mats as beige mats will get very dirty.
I clean my drivers seat every 6 months with Autoglym leather cleaner and conditioner.

I took a look at the pics. Wow! This car is only one year old. I would atleast expect some grime and grout on the carpet area. But none from what I could see. Also I like the carbon fiber look. The black and tan is a nice contrast. Dark Exterior lighter Interior. Wonderful looking car. Thanks for providing links to the photos
