how to dvd??

My Ride: 2006 550i sport pak. all the other goodies..
MODS: M5 front, sides, aFe throttle body spacer, RPI Red scoop, amber angle eyes, powder coated sport rims, tinted tail lights. smoked side blinkers, color of car and rims roundels, real carbon fiber roof spoiler, 550i number flat black, LED license plate lights, MTX 12' sub, dyno mat, tinted Windows, flat black grill, flat black exhaust tips, light smoke headlight tint, foged out eyelash, velocity booster.
when you go in to the nav thing and you looking at where it says "DVD FM AM SAT" so on.. how can i play a dvd on it?? any idea how do do this.. do i have to code it? if sooo.. how can i do this.. that would be badass to play a movie on that

That DVD option will only play audio files recorded on a DVD and played in the Nav drive. Unless you have the CIC in which case it will play DVDs as well.

Have you actually tried and verified this? I have tried and it did not work....in my 2005 E60
Maybe it required "special" format? I took DVD and burned mp3 on it...and no luck

My 2004 E60 was coded for MP3 to support the BMW iPod interface. The CD drive will play MP3 files on CD-R and the DVD drive will play MP3 files on DVD-R. The disc format in both cases is ISO 9660:1999. The MP3 files and directory structure is copied over from my iTunes music library.
