My first choice is a $500 beater

My son starts college in August and he is leaving his car at home.

If you do take it work hard to find a good parking space, lots of light, visible from buildings etc. Never leave anything valuable visible in the car, never wash it. The dirtier the better but even then a BMW will usually stand out on a campus full of college kids cars...

Best bet is to find some local near campus who will rent you a parking space in their drive way, or better yet garage.

You got some nice mods... My car is going in Monday for the Dinan throttle body, CAI and stage 3 software.

How are the brakes? do you just have the rotors or the whole BBK?

as for 4 sets of lug nuts... just but 4 sets... and put one on each tire... then the "crooks" or your friends will have to get through 4 different lock nuts before they can get to your wheels.
not a bad method if you think about it, i get paranoid too sometimes
