I was playing around with my idrive the other day and next thing I noticed, I was no longer able to view my Navigation in full screen mode. Even when I have the screen in Navi mode, I have two (2) views of the map, a larger view of the map on the left, and a much smaller view to the right. I let my neighbor hold my owners manual and he is out of town at the moment. Will anyone out there be able to instruct as to how to revert my screen back so I can view the Navi in full view? .........Thanks in advance.

I had the same thing happen to me after I took my car to the dealer to have them update to the new iDrive software. now, my navi screen is only 3/4 the size of the screen.

The professional navi screen is split into two areas: one which takes up 2/3-3/4 of the screen, and the remaining bit on the right. As far as I have experienced, it is not possible to have one single display take up the entire screen.

For the smaller bit of the screen (on the right), slide your I-Drive controller to the right, and you will notice that the border for this bit gets "highlighted". Then push down on the controller once, and you will get the menu listing the different views that are available for this section. Once you are done selecting this, simply slide the I-Drive controller to the left, and you will be back to your main functionality.

You should also be able to download an electronic copy of the user manual from the "information" pages on this site.

There have always been two windows, the main window and the assistance window.

If anyone can post a photo of the satnav screen across both windows, please feel free.

I would also like to see pictures of a full screen on the E60. I have read a few posts in the past of others swearing that they had a full scren at one time or another but lost it for some unknown reason. Pictures would sure set this one to rest.
cheers

The only full screens I've ever seen are the main menu and, on the LCI cars, the new screen you see when using the favorites buttons. Also, you can get the night vision to use the full screen...
