How do I find out if my iDrive is up to date

My Ride: BMW 530i 05
I was wondering what ver of iDrive software my car has. The dealer is reluctant to check or update the car since i have no serious problems. My cars build date is 11/04 if that helps. Any advice or info would be of great help. Thanx

my car is scheduled for another update on tuesday ... they are working very closely with the regional service manager(s), as well as BMW & some other techs. This time its scheduled for 3-4 days, and i'll be getting a brand new X3 for a loaner.
issues started with the AC this time. it would not accept AUTO mode, all vent settings were turned down to 1 bar, and when changing up, they would revert to 1 bar within a second. been crashing more often again, and slower to boot. :-(

if you want issues, yes .....
otherwise ... i'd say ... don't try to fix whats not broken! i wish they had never updated the original software when they installed the phone ... but they had to.

well .. considering that the "i-drive" does have some controls in that area, the problem never occured before, and miraculously went away after a POWER|EJECT|EJECT .... i think its fairly safe to say so. but then again ... my crystal ball might just be defective tonight. ;-)
