How do you guys check if your adaptiv headlight is working correctly?
Mine seems only work on one direction (right). It doesn't seem turn to the left at all. Just got my car back from the dealer today, but it seems still not working correctly.
Any better way to test it?

First of all, be sure to turn your headlights on by turning the switch counter-clockwise one click from the 12 o'clock position (the automatic mode).
If you don't do that, the adaptive headlights are disabled. (You might be thinking they're working to the right and not to the left but really they're just aimed a bit more to the right if you drive on the right (and correct ) side of the road.) I'm wondering if you've actually seen them work at all, I guess.
You shouldn't have a hard time seeing them move. Just go slowly down a dark road and saw the wheel hard back and forth. If you don't see them moving, something is wrong.

Thanks, I saw your guys' other post about adaptive headlight is only working in auto mode.
It did notice it turn to the right but left. Well... I will need to find a very dark road and give it a try again.

Believe me, you can see them move without trouble. You really don't have to be moving -- go do it in your garage right now -- to see them track.
That's kind of why I suspected you didn't have them activated. Once you see them move, you wouldn't need to ask how to test them!
Good luck!

Thanks Rudy.
I tested it in my garage, and it is not turning to the left at all.
I think I have to take it back to the dealer to have them check again.
What a pain.... Why can't they just get the job done in one time?

I just was out in my garage, backed out of the garage, and tried to get the update from iDrive for the traffic addition.
When I pulled back in, my lights turn only to the right, and not to the left. (the do go left to get back to the original position)

Rudy,
Yes, I clearly saw it turned to the right slowly. But not doing the same when I was turning my steering wheer to the left.
Sounds like James has same issue as mine.

Maybe it has something to do with blinding oncomming traffic? When the lights turn to the left at slow speed you could blind other traffic at the other direction, maybe you have to drive a reasonable speed to make them go to the left?
