Sell your 5er and get a 7 series!!! Tall boys should have a big car!!!

sell it and get 7 series....

thats the best option...

or what you can do is try to make a custom seat bracket so that you can mount the seat in a differnt location to make more leg rooms...

or what you can do is ... move the front seat and sit in the back passanger seat and drive it

It's funny, I was just going to say that. They do make an extended version of the E60, but it's only available in China. Why China is beyond me, considering Chinese people tend to be on the shorter side. Hahahaha!

lol. everyone has great idea. haha. here's an idea. remove ur seats and the brackets. remount the brackets 2 inches back. u have to drill new holes and plug the old one. or get some recaro seats with new brackets that u can move further back.
Good idea. Im like 5'7 1/2...so its more then enough leg room for me

Not sure it's a good idea...

Although it would technically work, there may be a safety issue with how the seat (and seat belts) are secured to the car. I'm pretty sure that the mounts from the factory are reinforced and designed to withstand a crash, etc. If you drill new holes to mount them back further, you may be compromising the way the car behaves in an accident...

I'm 6foot 3....

I'm good...

I remember that the US E39's and E46's, and also the earlier X5's had less leg space than the Euro ones, because of the bigger dash...

i've checked it out on my friends US E46, and another EURO E46... compared it... and it's true, the dash... and interior in the US car is more bold... and therefor there was less space... don't know if it's like that on the E60..

I think the rear seat has extended leg room in the 5er made for China - not the front. Designed to be a mid-size limo

Ok, I have an 05 545i sport and would love an extra inch or two of leg room. I am 6'5. Are there any tricks to achieve this. I know the old 5 series had a clip in the chair rail, but there is nothing like that on my E60. Does anyone know any DIY's to gain the extra room? any help would be MUCH appreciated

I am 6'5 also. For me I do not need the seat to go farther back so much as I need the lower dash panel to go forward a bit. I know on the E39 you can install the Euro dash which gives you a couple extra inches of knee room in the knee bolster area. I would search for an E60 Euro dash conversion to see if the Euro cars have more legroom and if so I would get the retrofit done.

6'3'' here and also with playing with the controls have found that I can create quite a bit of leg room. If needed to for a rear seat passenger I can actually move my seat quite a bit forward and still be able to drive relatively comfortably.
