Has anyone seen if it is a key memory preference? I would like it, but my husband would hate it. Can key one have the chime on, and key two have no chime? Or is it like iDrive brightness and the same no matter which key?
The hourly chime is not on the key memory on mine. But I think with the latest software it is. With the latest software you can also adjust the volume, which I can't.

I'm sure you have it!
Check the i-menu where you set the date and the time. Where you set the time, you will see a memo option... That's the hourly memo chime...

In the UK and Europe, there are two types of air conditioning systems, Basic and Advanced.

To the best of my knowledge, only the advanced version is available in the US.

This thread contains details of the differences.

For some strange reason, the additional OBC functions I outlined in my previous post are related to the advanced A/C in some way
Thanks for the info PhilS.

Somebody posted it.
I don't have the newest software, so I haven't tried it myself, but when the chime goes off, you can adjust the volume of it and it will be remembered...

I think like NAV when she speaks you can hold the volume and it will change accordingly.

You can adjust NAV lady, but I have never been able to adjust chime volume. No bother for me anyway.

I picked up a new E60 530d this week and noticed that it chimes 3 times on the hour, has anyone else noticed this?? It is enabled in Display Settings > Clock > Message Memo.

I can't remember seeing this in my previous E60,? is this a new feature which was added in V12.x?
You are right i have this when they upgraded my software from 10.x to 12.1.
Do you have warning message screen that you need to accept to carry on with i-drive menu with this version?

It is time for BMW AG to release change notice to customer everytime they change something in the software upgrade. This is ridiculous. Look at us here we are all like lost sheeps.

Iceman, you are in Germany right... can you help call the BMW rep and tell them they need to do something here before we all lose our sanity?

I am still pissed off with the warning message screen and BMW AG is not responding to remove it yet. I am pressing hard from here.
