Once I get more skillful, then I will start consider better bodies...5Dmk2 would be my ultimate goal.

IC
why I say this cos the photos look abit too much contrast for a canon.
which lens did you buy?
I am planning to buy the 5Dmk2 in July
There is a pro software called Adobe lightroom and itis the best for touching up photos

for me the target is f/2.8 or lower on all the lens
I have the:
Tamron AF 17-50mm f/2.8 SP XR Di II LD ASL IF (A16)
Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 SP XR Di LD ASL IF Macro (A09)
Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 Di LD [IF] Macro SP (A001)
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
the 3 Tamron lens are very good lens for a beginner like us.
Also you get a bonus of the Macro too which canon don't have with this range.

I was also deciding between the 16-35mm f/2.8 L USM & 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM, but after reading this:
Lens Comparison
and also taking consideration of the price difference, decided to go with th 17-40mm and upgrade later on...
If you decide to let any of your lens go, let me know.....![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
