How is parking sensors going to get rid of the rain on the glass.
I don't think parking sensors is going to help on roads when raining
so here you go all hatchback must have a wiper because of snow and rain that fall on it, I know there are heat lines across the glass but that will no stop the rain from sticking onto the glass.
the rear glass is very big so there is more rain fall on it and covering it and it will not run away.
Next time try not trun on you wipers on the front and see if you can see out side
the rear wiper is not just for parking it for driving on the road too.
my mum118 has a rear wiper and like you say there no point in using it but I found out on raining days that other cars will slash water on to my car and I had to use it fulltime too just like the front 1s.
I alway use my real wiper on the stepwgn too.
maybe you never look out side the back when driving.
I think keith know what is like.

but it was u who said to me once that if one has time to look at the rear view mirror, one obviously is driving too slow bor.
but on normal driving which most of us do and we need to look at the back, maybe you don't.
I went to the air port this morning and it was chucking it down and could not see a thing at the back of my BM.
I always look at the back for cops which I saw 2 on the TM bridge to the airport at 7.10am and he stop a 911 doing 110km on the bridge, I was doing 100 and he told me to slow down
