Its good time to buy car (If you got spare cash in hands of cos)

My friend just bought a mk2 Audi TT last friday for 280k HKD (Listed price 336k HKD), almost 5 grand less than the listed price!
I would say its a very good buy I will test drive this Sat..Wohoo

Maybe we can get a Lotus together and share the cost, get it to the track and paid AK for the maintance.
I'd expect 2nd hand Lotus will drop price like HELL at this time, so many Bently were back on the 2nd hand market and i guess no one will buy at this period of time
how are you?

cool to know that you got interest to put a lotus on track.....no regret..

just changed rims for my E61...hehe

Hey Keith, how have you been?

Buying a lotus always was my dream, its not a expensive car i know, but you got to be mad in HK to own one,
Not taking money into account, you'll need to be ready for people (Especially family) asking why you buying a "no-frill" car for 800K?
With no Air-con or even the electirc windows and stuffs....

Having said that, i will still get one when i grow up more abit, maybe 30? And i will not care the family and what people says,
Lotus is pure "Porn" and i am going to get the top of the range Exige S

both but more on the food say 70% food, 30% environment
let me suggest you if you are obviously more on food:

1) in North Point, inside City Garden complex, at the foyer where the residential section is (near the harbour side), there is one tiny Japanese Restaurant, the boss is a Japanese working behind the sushi bar, the environment of the place is a little discouraging since the inside does look like a typical Japanese restaurant run by a local Hong Kong but if you are not the type who only eat Salmons, Toro, etc. (only the standard stuffs) this place is worth a try, the place does have some seasonal recommendation (like last time I went I had swordfish sashimi, very unique and very nice).

2) the Japanese Restaurant at IFC on the floor where Citysuper is (forgot which floor), nice place, nice food.

The above two places doesn't quite need booking, and haven't quite seen a long queue outside the place either.

actually i think its your family who need to grow up, they should let you choose what you want, as long as you dont drive recklessly and its the money you make yourself.

think the new elise will have more standard eq to make it a more day to day car but I also heard the suspension also been tweaked for customers who are less skilled. if its true, you probably should look for a 2nd hand.

believe lotus also run a performance driving school on their test track, why dont you join that in your next euro trip.
