There are a few mods i would like to do to my car starting with upgrading the wheels 18" from 17". Would love to get the experience of other members that have done this as a friend on mine keeps insisting that the ride would go down the drain!? tHX

As to your wheel upgrade, I don't think it'll make the ride terribly worse. Especially if you switch to non run flat tires with your new 18" wheels. It may even get better believe it or not. mic325 has non run flat Goodyear F1s on 19" wheels, he can tell u his first hand experience.

I have mine upgraded from 16" non run flat tyres to 19" Goodyear F1. It is not harsh at all, just a little bit more bumpy than the original 16". There maybe a little bit more road noise, but they are very acceptable. I haven't try any E60 with run flat tyres, but from the response from other members, seems like going from a 17" run flat to a 18" non run flat acutally INCREASES the comfort level.

You may take a ride on my car when we are meeting next time.

Thanks for all your comments. I've been thinking of buying the style 123 OEM rims. Haven't thought of the tire yet. AC S5, yes I have the style 138 and would be looking to trade them if I get my new set! I asked BMW for some quotes on parts and it is ridiculus... 19000HKD for a sport steering wheel plus airbag! Guess I have to wait for my car to hit 6mos old before I can consider these!

Hi mic325

Is the wheel shop you are talking about in MK near Fa Hui called Sun Hing? Or is there another wheel shop in the area?

Hi AC_S5,

The shop is near Fa Hui & it is opposite to Mong Kok Police station.

Kwok Wah Tyre & Motoring Access Co. (國華)
G/F 290 Sai Yeung Choi Street North
Prince Edward, Kowloon

You can ask for 張立基, he is the owner of the shop. Not sure if he remembers me or not, try to tell him is a Silver Grey 523i with 19" wheels, who comes with a friend in a black CLS350.

Tel: (852)2380-4092
Cell: (852)9654-9101

Hi pogo1

Did you order your car or you buy from the stock? The Sport Steering wheel is only a $2000 option, should've got it when you order.

And yes if you want to sell your rims let me know, I am interested.
