Have anyone heard about the 550i being available in Hong Kong?? After reading a newspaper (not sure if its Apple Daily) that states that the 545i is NEWand is being sold for $760k instead of the initial $830k, I am guessing that the 550i will be coming in the upcoming month?? Any ideas??

According to a post in BMWOCHK, http://bmw.hk4u.com/viewtopic.php?t=1428, BMWHK is doing a 10% discount on all 2005 E60, so that they can clear out the inventory and let the new 2006 E60 to come in.

It really sucks......if I can hold for a month, I can get a 525i with the price of a 523i.....

? ? ? ? ? ? what is the wordings for that sticker/label by the shifter ?? and how come it's not chinese idrive ?

That sticker say "If you wish to shift out from P, you have to apply the brake"

I don't think BMW had ever released a Chinese I-drive, or any non-Latin languages. It will be a great idea if they can display Chinese in the i-drive screen, so people with MP3 compatible in-dash CD player can display the songs title correctly.

Yeah I must agree. A month wait would allow you to buy a new set of rims and more. Are there actually any changes that are due for the 2006 models, apart from the 550i coming out?

Yes, the most noticeble feature is the "Start/Stop" starter button, Comfort Access (BMW's implementation of Keyless Go), Brake Assist, revamped DSC, new exterior colors (Orient Blue & Oxford Green discontinued, replaced with Monaco Blue and Deep Green). Heard the September update will include MP3 playback with the in-dash CD....not sure about this one.

Thanks for the quick reply!! I never thought that there would be another local forum member that checks this forum at this time (2:50am). With these changes, I guess I will rather save some money and get myself some nice accessories. Are there any other exterior or interior changes besides the new colors??

Just check with your dealer if the car comes with "Business Radio" or "Professional Radio". Business does not play MP3 whereas Professional does.

A Chinese iDrive is available. It has been made available first on the 7 series in 2003. You can choose it from your iDrive.

I have tried a few 545i(second hand), including BMW's second hand one. I really love it. But the price is ......and the car from BMW has no dynamic drive.

If anyone want to trade his 545i for 550i, please kindly consider selling 545i to me.

Details: Blue/Silver with comfort seat (2003/2004)
Price : less than HK$620,000 / Miles: less than 25000KM

I like 545i so much, please help me.

My e-mail address is r31eric@i-cable.com.

Oh, I don't really know a Chinese iDrive is available. Is it a E65/66 option? I don't find it inside my iDrive.
