interesting question, I was under the impression that for companies, non essential staff wouldnt be covered. since my boss at home likes to go out at times like this, I decided to have a quick glance at the insurance policy and turned out no exclusion clause for bad weather or typhoon. that said, last time we went out during a typhoon, we returned home too late b4 the weather turned really bad. A tree fell down on the road blocking our path back home. we managed to squeeze through but it caused a couple of minor scratches.

no insurance policy will cover T8 on person or car but don't know about house.

That's what I thought too but No such exclusion clause related to this in my policy doc. Might call up ping an to confirm for the peace of mind tmr.

If there is no insurance, then surely no cars would be on the road... i know cab drivers are not insured....but thats cos they have other passengers but I'm sure its different for private cars!

maybe the new 1s insurance cover has change, my 18 year old life insurance has not changed.
that right it is at your own risk driving out or going out.
my 4 life insurance will not cover this. so if a tree kills me then my wife will not get a penny. It sucks.
you know well as me that insurance are scams and they always win.
it not just in HK it around the world.
natural disaster will not cover unless you buy a 1 for just that.

I think I will phone my sale woman up and ask here if I am insuranced for T8 on me and the cars
