I think in your time it was easy.
its not that easy!!!
even international schools are very hard to get in.
need to know ppl for easy to get in like song Bill to help us out.
before my son tryed 6 international schools and 3 was waiting list and 3 no go.
we were lucky to have 1 phoning us up a few months ago and now he is much happier.
at international schools there is exams 2 times a year and not 4 like local schools but the work load is the same as local schools
its not that easy!!!

I am pretty sure we never had exams...(that counted) as a kid in primary school... the only ones that mattered were GCSE's and A LEVEL!

My son has 2 exams a year for the Chinese and 1 for the other subjets, ot just home work.
I wish it was that easy as your 1.

This is part of life, it happens every were.
I dont think you can blamed the school.
maybe it is a test for them too
I remember at 1 interview I had to wait for 40 mins until it was my kid turn.
I think there were definitely more the school could have done, eg, opened a few classrooms instead of having those poor little children getting wet and cold in the rain.
