yes tyre and wheel are very important, all your 500bhp and ceramic brakes are meant to move and stop the wheels only. it's the wheel and tyre that move/stop the car in the end of the day.

well I had my 19"ACS copy's for over 5 years and they were very safe and ok but it was built in Taiwan not china

My Ride: BMW E60 530i , Silver with leather Air Con iDrive 17" Breyton Rims with Dunlop Sp Sport tyres (M-Tech Bodykit and rims WANTED)
Alfa Romeo 147 TS1.6 , Black with Air Con 17" Multi Spoke alloys with Bridgestone RE040 tyres
Toyota MR-S 1.8 VVTI , Lagoon Blue with Red leather Air Con 15" standard alloys with Toyo tyres
Toyota Celica 1.8 VVTI, Lagoon Blue, Air Con, 16" Standard alloys with Kuhmo KU31, EBC Green Stuff
Just give you an idea of the quality in my experience when dealing with chinese suppliers:
50% are crap, 30% are good but over priced, 10% are not keen on small quantity, and the only 10% left are good quality at good price.
So what i mean is you got to be very careful, you never know what they mixed inside the wheels,
The strength of the wheel are very important for the car, for me, i would pay more for the wheels

Taiwan is ok, but most Taiwan are made in China nowadays, but stricter qc.
i also had the Type IV taiwan wheel Capt, remember we compared them and yours was much better with a bigger lip?? i had vibrations and in the end got rid of them and got Breytons, which were heavy but heavy duty, no issues.
my friend has alloy wheel factories in China basically the quality is ok for normal daily use on higher profile tyres, but once you start using lower profiles and lowered suspension and hard cornering +potholes(which we do)then the stress is a bit much and he doesn't recommend it, he has had broken and fractured wheels returned to him as a complaint and hairline fractures are also found when people start to mod their cars (yes they do in China)
if anyone wants to buy a truck load let me know
i think that anything >1000 is ok, try the style first and upgrade to different styles when you want to,
newbies go for it, change the look of the car immediately!!
