Did you felt vibration and/or droning noise when the vehicle is idling in park, neutral, drive and reverse when engine is at operating temperature? Whatever Steering wheel; seat and floor also have.

Did you found engine idle dipped under traffic light, cannot consistently maintain an idle?

If have, Then go ahead to clean up these devices. Today, I find my ride all silence at idle and rev up faster than before a lot. . It a night and day different just like with or without SB.
Congrats
How long does it take to clean all these?

my MB's handling is ok, it's not super, it's a comfy cruising car,
and not a Predator (spelt with a big P" like the modd'd E60s

i have to brake going into tight corners,
but the leather, chrome bits and bobs are ok, i even have mirror finish polished stainless steel door pins!!
of course i really miss the super E60 confident handling and the E60 feels "safer" when driving faster,
i just had a burn up with an Altezza 3L, and at times i was a bit scared and not knowing when the shocks will start to firm up and not roll....., well i killed it on the straight just to make sure who was boss

i think the new 6 will have a much better interior.

the F10 M option wheels are really boring, obviously they don't plan to sell many, i think they just changed the most unpopular E60 M ones on the CAD and then printed it out again!! lazy buggers? or cost cutting?

Agreed, the M wheel is ugly and boring, i was expecting much more than that!
Same as the sport steering wheel

They spent all the money on dynamic efficient stuffs and forget how to make a good car
Not saying its a shit car, but just nothing special....ANYMORE!
Wake up BMW!

BTW Bill, when you see Mr Kwok next time, can you tell him the BMW service department in Macau is truely aweful.
My friend kept complaint the service few years now and still crap as shxt...
1)No one answering the call
2)Having lunch at the showroom
3)No phone call when the car is ready to pick up
4)Booked in for a service, but found out they didnt note it down

I know there are nothing much he can do about due to the local situation, but at least tell him the fact of what is happening overthere

I love the sport seats with red stitiching and alcantara

The M sport steering is a downside though
as i dun see any differences compared to standard wheel

Overall, it is still a disappointed car for me, all 5 series used to be a astonishing car and no one can match, but not this one i suggests

1) styling
2) handling
3) Interior (But Merc is on par i think)

Just my thought
I still like E60 more for the moment....

boring boring boring, but they sell loads, don't forget we are the nutcases and extreme
BMW driving appreciation gang, i guess they have a master plan to sell loads more to uninitiated
new buyers and to pass the R&D costs for exciting stuff to AC,Hamann and co......

in the end we will vote with our next purchase, eg.Will,ET, Moi
go for the new 6 or Z4 if u want a sports car/coupe, don't forget the new F10 5 is not a sports car, it's a sports saloon!!
hey there is a S2000 at the fanling car place, right next to a MRS.

Adjuster unit
Attachment 108134
IDLE REGULATING VALVE
Attachment 108135
Throttle

Cool...is it called ????

It will good to clean it regularly even if the car does not have the inconsistent idle problem. AK is good because not much technician is willing to clean this part as it is time consuming.

I should find him to do that as mine is 2005.
