Yes I heard this noise once since I own this car, since the 2 year factory warranty is about to expire, I have requested they look into this matter and replace the faulty parts accordingly.

my last e60 had no sound from the car when new until 3 years time when the doors started to squeak

Probably not, BMW contracted out all the parts for the third party companies to save costs, so it will never be as good as the old solid bimmer.

David had some rattling issue with his few months old E60 already
You had any rattles so far?

Yes, get everything checked out when its still free, otherwise it will casue you a fortune to repair :thumbsdown:

well you better do it quick

I bet they will say they can not fine the part that is wrong and say you better join the extended warranty expire and get you to join the extended warranty

I hope you get it fix before the next meet.

the sound from the engine is like from a belt or some thing.
I dont think it the engine in side.

+1 BMW will never be like 20 years ago.
the seats are not made buy BMW that is the part is making the noise :thumbsdown:

FM radio is a piece of art 20 years ago. RDS radio is standard on BMW hifi professional nowadays.

There is a known issue w out of spec valve rockers
