Btw, do u guys hv squeaky noise (like leather rubbing against plastic) coming from this area? Mine is getting worse. Wonder if there's something I can DIY to fix the noise. Hate bringing it all the way to Chai Wan.

Thanks

Do a search on the forum. There has been some suggestions on spraying a little amount of WD-40 within the gaps which will get rid of the noise. I did that and it worked ok, so as the door seals.

But I was too greedy and over does so my car is now full of WD-40 smell.
So be careful on that.

Hello Mario, how's it hanging in Gr Britain? I bet it's quite cold there now. I hv WD40, but like u said due to its smell, Im hesitant in applying it just yet. Im hoping to find an alternate solution, it will be my last resort (maybe the dealer is my last resort).

Btw guys, the RF Dunlops really have no grip. The other day I was driving home on the usual twisty but fun Island Road. The surface was a bit damp, I felt the car slid sideways when I pulled a fast corner. Scary.

Hey Bun try slowing down, I know you drive fast. Plus Dunlop is not really that good on wet.

My E60 523i engine fault light came on this evening, the engine felt like its going to stall when its rev's at around 600-700rpm :'( I called BMW Service, they'd organized a toll truck and tolled my vehicle to MTW (Kowloon) service center. The toll truck guy reckon there is a fault with the engine management chip. I only have 9550 km

O... sorry to hear that happen to your ride... . Hope the cpu will soon be fixed. BTW, I think is the fuel & air mix problem at low rev. (It's control by the chip)

I had similar problem b4. The idle RPM was too low (around 500rpm only). Engine stalled a few times and needed restart. But engine default light didnt come on. The dealer tuned up my idle rpm to 7-800 rpm then the problem went away for good.

Hey Sam, time to think about a MOD chip instead !

Hey bunbun, thanks for the info, this is the exact problem I had, the engine sounded like a sampan boat the engine light came on after I put on D to drive it out the driveway the car its now at MTW, I'll call them in the morning to find out more

The MOD chip sounds like a great idea unfortunately this void the warranty... this car had been back in MTW for 3 times since I had it  . This really worries me :'(
