Yeah, and that's just the opening bid price. See how the system here works is, u submit the plate combo u want, get approval from DMV, then the DMV will put this combo up for public tender/bidding. Therefore, if someone else also happens to like your combo, the eventual price can go even (or much) higher than $2.5K.

That's so true, I was thinking about it, but at $2,500, I can probably get the full ACS aero, maybe even the muffler.? Hmm.....

Hi Guys,

I am in HK too n up on Conduit road at the West mid-level. I will be getting in a set of 18" '124' style rims from U.S. for my 520i. Do you guys have some recommendation on tires n I am looking for some medium-price ones. Thanks in advance.

Hi AC388

Welcome to this sub forum You're getting the rims from the US?? Why not ask around for any second hand rims from tire shops? They are likely to come with original equipment tires (Dunlop?). Many enthusiasts (like gf388 and BreCed) swap out their wheels for third party ones. Most of these are 99% new, I personally bought the style 138? (or 128?) 17" set from gf388.

Something to think about. Otherwise, I always like Michellin tires for their quietness.

Keep us posted la.

Btw AC388

If you're set on the US rims and want tires only, that tire shop (see first page of this sub forum) in Happy Valley is quite good and honest. Dont know their pricing tho....hehe. Forgot its name but its next to "Yeung Wor" hosiptal, there is only one.

Bunbun.
