Hi Guys,

Thanks for your advice n maybe I will check out that shop in Happy Valley. Meanwhile, do you guys have any used tires for sale n the size I am looking for is 8J x18", 245/40 R18 at front n 9J x18", 275/35R18 for rear.

By the way, if you guys have a full set of those used #122 or#138 style wheels/tires for sale, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi AC388

I made a mistake, I actually hv style 122 on my 520. These two styles (122 & 138) look so much alike sometimes I cant tell from afar. However there is a tire size difference between the two, 122 comes with 245's whereas 138 comes with 225's. I thought u wanted style 124? I'll ask around in anycase, will let u know.

Hi ac388,

I've read through your statement and I would like to remind you that the rim/wheel size of #124 is (8J/F & 9J/R) wider than the #122 and 138. If you use it on your 520i with only 2000cc engine, it may a little bit too hard/tuff or you may have to sacrifice on the speed and start up. Also the fuel consumption may have a significantly increased. That's why in US they only applied it on the 545i!!!

Thanks for your advice. Anyway, when i am getting a 520, I already don't expect a lot of Speed n power. However, I cannot resist the look on #124 wheel with those wider tires. Also, I am one of those weekend driver, so gas milage doesn't bother me that much.

Hi UB & HeiHei

Welcome to this sub forum.

AC388, my 520 is not too shabby in speed altho it is no comparison to the larger engines. When I switch it to manual shift, it is rather fun and spirited. I think the 520 is a great value for money car. As for the rims, it's really your choice but I should let u know after changing into the 17" 122 style rims with 245 runflats, the ride is definitely tougher than b4. So I can imagine with 18" rims, it'll be even harder.

I'll post here to let u know if I hear of any almost new tire/rim sets.

Cheers
