Plus replacing the battary cables aswell (Due to the battary drain!)

blown head gasket or warpped head is very easy to tell. you will see a lot of white exhaust smoke when you rev the engine before the engine is warmed up. I hope its not this, otherwise its going to be expensive but will be a good excuse for you to get an lci and then you get the proper ipod connection.

in addition, as mentioned in the other thread, you will notice a white/milky substance in the engine oil.
