Home Lights
Ok played with the home light setting (Can't remember if that's what is under the menu) where it asks how many seconds to stay on for in the idrive
but all it seems to light up is the wing mirror LEDs and the interior... is that right? or should the headlights also be on?
The headlights are on if I have the key in and turn off the ignition in auto mode at night but the moment i remove the key they turn off
for a 04/2005 e60 is this normal?

To activate this feature, you need to pull back on the turn signal stalk (like you do if you're flashing someone) after the car is turned off. This will illuminate the headlamps for the duration set in iDrive...

..a shame its not automatic on the key press too for when your walking to your car

If the car is on the road, then in many countries it is illegal to have the headlights on whilst the car is unoccupied. That is why it will not be on the key fob, it would activate every time you opened the car.

Oh which reminds me... I tried using that 2 weeks ago and it didnt stay on. with the car off I pulled the blinker stalk and it just flashed the head lights... when I released the stalk the lights turned off... Weird... I know it worked in my 2005 545... I'm pretty sure its set up in the iDrive too cuz i set it at 35 seconds...
