I can attest to the validity of this, it completely smoothed out my shifts...................... and then my car blew up ,.... but the shifts were great

They were aware of it but did'nt offer any support for it.............. I'll bet if you read this complete thread there are several members that used this fixx. For me it helped the rough shift from 1-2 ,2-3 at low speeds and the manual downshifting down hills at higher speeds...................have you tried it yet ?

(Hi does anyone know if this would work with SMG transmissions?)

There is a thread on the m5board about resetting the SMG. I believe you
shift the car into neutral while at a moderate speed and hold both paddles
for 3 seconds. I will search and post the link.
