Close ! Actually this type of physical damage is covered by Collision Coverage - minus your deductable.
Better listen to me, I'm pre-med.....or is it pre-law

Perhaps all that crack I used to smoke really did affect my memory? It's been a very long week since I quit.

For reals? I got backed into at work a few years ago and I thought my agent said it was comprehensive as I was not "moving," and it could not be established 100% that the damage was caused by another auto.

I have to agreed. Anything that happens while u arent in the car is considered comprehension (falls under the same category as vandalism).. if u were driving it would be collision.
my deductible for Comprehensive and Collision are the SAME...=\

I'm thinking insurance wouldn't cover anything if you're the one hitting and running!
For the OP, on the other hand, you should be covered somehow...

With full coverage, would you have to pay a deductible? Would it raise any premiums?
And if the damage wouldn't cost as much to fix as your deductible what happens?

comprehensive claim wont raise preminum... or i will be soooo screwed...
if your damage is below your deductable you have to pay from your wallet... for example if your damage was 400 and your deductable is 500, then you have to pay it...
if damage was 700 and your deductable is 500, you pay 500 and insurance will pay 200

unless it is not torned up or ripped off completly, they will not going to pay for a new bumper... all they are going to do is just send it down and put new paint on them.
so does insurance company does their own estimate or I go get a quote and submit to them?

dude it is all depends on whoever you have.. you need to call your insurance company.. we are not your insurance company...
they will deal with this situation ... not us... they have to look at it first before you do any work and just taking to bodyshop and get their estimate wont fly
so call their 1800 number and claim your hit and run... and just follow whatever they tell you to do.
also just put up pictures so that we can see what you are dealing with
