Just stick with the BMW LL oil. That is not high mileage at all for a BMW. Get past 225K miles and you throw that word around. We had a 7 series in the family and it was in the 300k mile range. OEM oil is better and cheaper than the other oils since they're not true European formulas. Change your mileage every 7500 miles or so, you waste 15 min and you spend what about $50 to do it yourself? good deal.

 

Have been using Amsoil 0w30 (TSO) in my VR-4 for years now and not only does it protect it means longer times between changes. It's also removed most of the old coking that was all over the components in the rocker cover.

going with Mobil 1 0/40 fully synth, and a OE filter. Think the Scottish winters over the last 2 seasons have shown the way of the future. But seeing as my day job is driving a snow plough, then the BMW shouldnt be kickin its arse out too much. Thanks again guys.
