OK, as i said, cannot confirm personally but the thread I referenced is below. Post #18 shows someone with an '07 claiming to have the option in his iDrive...

Except in the good 'ol USA for early production '07 models ... late production date '07 models can have DRLs set in iDrive. So when you buy early examples of BMWs you may not get that they marketed / sell ... They print the sales literature before they build in the features

What are you having?

In a few minutes, I am going to crack open a new bottle of Laphroaig 15yr that I just picked up today. It is a new one for my collection. I like the Laphroaig 10yr that I have had for a while, never had the 15yr before.
Islay.... Highland... YMMV

I have an 06 and had the dealer turn on the DRL's. No option in iDrive to turn them on and off though.

I hope we are not hijacking the thread too much.

It is cracked...

Fantastic. If you like the 10yr old the 15 as you can imagine is just a little smoother. I like the 10yr old, but you have to be in a certain mood, obviously it is a distinct flavor and aroma.

I am a single malt novice. I like to try different samples when I am traveling and eating out. But my personal collection is prety small.

Glenlivet 12
Macallan 12
Oban 14
Laphroaig 10
Laphroaig 15

The Macallan 12 was my first addition, and the Glenlivet was second, they are the old standbys. Oban 14yr which a friend reccomended at a dinner at a nice restaurant in Orlando back in Dec. It is now one of my favorites, but expensive enough that I dont want to drink it too often. If you havent had it, it is more complex and robust (look at me talking like someone that knows something, which I dont. I dont know that those are the right terms, but they are what come to mind for me) than the Macallan and Glenlivet, but not quite the knock you down smokyness of the Laphroaig 10 & now 15.

Any other reccomendations you have?

Having ordered my first E60 back in December 2003, I know all too well about marketing promises and what is actually delivered!

A good selection. Not an expert by any means, but try Lagavulin...

Try a Highland Park 18. Tasty stuff, and reasonably priced for the quality and age.
