My Ride: 2005 BMW525i 20 inch wheels, tinted tails windows, and headlights, acs style spoiler, painted calipers, HID fogs, angelibrights, 1999 Chevy S-10-lambo doors, retractable license plate, rims, lowered, custom thru body kit exhaust w/twin slash tips, ect..., 2007 gsxr750 fully modded.
I have a 2005 525i, my low beams are fine, but my high beams seem to come from the same projector....the other light on the headlight(ones closest to emblem on hood) doesn't come on unless i hold the high beam switch forward and it wont stay on unless i hold the switch....and their not very bright, is this normal?

Yes, normal. They work as the flashers and as the daytime running lights. A software update allows the driver to turn on and off the DRL's in the iDrive, but depending on what software you are running, you may or may not be able to do this...

On my 2005 545i, the DRL's have to be turned on by the dealer, not through the IDrive!

Right, but some have said on 2006's the had the option in the iDrive. Thought some had it was enabled with a software update but I am on my second scotch so the memory may be as sharp as it could be!

In a few minutes, I am going to crack open a new bottle of Laphroaig 15yr that I just picked up today. It is a new one for my collection. I like the Laphroaig 10yr that I have had for a while, never had the 15yr before.

So am I reading this right, if you dont have DRL, those extra set of lights basically serve no purpose unless you flash your lights at someone? (which I have never done so far with this car) Is it just me or does that seem like a little overkill for lights just for that purpose.
