My 5301 is now about 18k miles. Once parked over 5 hours, I receive "High Battery" drain message since it was 5k miles.
I have been back and forth at Dallas BMW dealer asking to fix the same problem.
Last Friday I took th car back after almost 1 month of troubleshooting and replacing the main computer module. Just the next day I have the same problem. I returned the car again today for further testing to the same service station. They tell me their best technician is on it.

Is there any one with any ideas!. I am not sure what BMW is going to do I am very upset about this.

I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.

I had the same problem with my E60. It was intermittent so the first time I took it in, they found no problems. The 2nd time they checked it there was (and I can't recall exact wording) 30g drain from the trunk electrical unit, if that makes sense to anyone.

The car is back to the dealer on Wednesday again for the same problem after the comfort access module has been replaced. This time I spoke with the service manager who mentioned someone from the BMW will take a look at it.

I appreciate every one pitching your comment on some possible solutions. I have given my adviser some of your comments. I hope this issue is resolved.

Which dealership do you go? Classic or BMW of Dallas?

Last Friday May 11-07 I am told I quote "the problem may be related to a device malfunction located at the REAR LEFT DOOR HANDLER. The dealer can not locate the part needed in US and has ordered it from Germany. Depending on shipping method used and custom clearing 2-3 weeks delay is expected"

Looks like dealer finally found the problem with "High Battery Drain" by replacing left passenger side door
handle components. This component is part of comfort access module. I received my car back last week so
far so good. Should this problem occurs again I will notify.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

This happened to me once, and was followed a few seconds later by a SOS malfunction and phone not installed error. When I restarted the car the next morning, it was all fine. Did you get the high battery drain warning continually, or did it go away like mine did and then come back (I am wondering if I should be worried). All my warnings came the same day I did the auto-transmission reset trick, so I figured that might have had something to do with it.

Dealer replaced comfort access module as well as master computer. The problem is still there. It has been at the dealer for almost 2 months back and forth with no solution. Any other suggestions is highly appreciated.
Likewise Dealer replaced Left Rear passenger comfort access module, & that was after I changed The Battery -Original BMW, it's been a month & this morning the High battery Drain Message apppeared once again.
I have a BMW 2006 530xi, it has been to the dealer more than 5 times, & they checked the system, they Told me not to worry cause there is no electric leak.
Any suggestions?
