Default HELP: SES Light is On After Changing Spark Plugs

I just finished changing my spark plugs and wanted to see if I had everything hooked back up properly and so I started the car up before putting all the plastic compartments and cabin filter areas back together so if there was a problem, I wouldn't have to tear the whole thing apart again.

The engine started right up but the car feels like it has more horsepower sitting still in my garage. I feel more of a shake than before I changed the plugs which were quite dirty at 100K miles.

I made triple sure that everything I disconnected was connected back under the engine cover. I used OEM NGK plugs. Torqued to 19 ft lbs.

Could my problem be that I didn't attach the engine cover, plastic compartments, and cabin filters yet. Or what else could it be? There is no rough idle. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Plastics and cabin filters have nothing to do with it .. Take it for a test run see how she runs and if the error clears ..

Code reader showed P0305 - Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected.

I then went and quadruple checked the connections one again and noticed that the connector to cylinder 5 wasn't seated like the other cylinders. It was only like a few millimeters barely noticeable difference.

I then reseated the connector and then it looked just like the rest. I started the car up and it wasn't shaking like it was. I revved the engine and no more SES light and the car feels super smooth now.

Its a good thing I checked before putting all those interlocking plastic puzzle pieces back together again. Whew!

Glad to see you've figured out the cause of the misfire...

If I may suggest, it's worthwhile to replace the engine mounts.
