The dealer still has my car until tomorrow.
Its the tiny cable that runs near the right side of the battery where the terminals are. It has a connector on it also. I was actually dinking with it last week and may have not re-connected it securely.

1.Press and hold the button by your cluster until you get the image below
2.Once you see that image, release then press and hold again. You'll now have the option to choose which service to reset. Each press cycles through each maintenance service. Open i-Drive/service if you are unsure what each image are.
3.Once you find your choice of service to reset. Just hold down the button until "Reset?" appears. Press and hold again to reset.

You probably missed it but the OP already mentioned that this doesn't work for his car. It is fairly simple so if it was working on his car I'm sure he would have figured it out after so many attempts.

that's correct. i have done it before. and so has my indy mechanic. still didn't work. the poster didn't seem to be listening to me so i said oh well.
