Looking for some help please.

Noticed a smell of damp in my car as we have had a lot of very heavy rain over here in the last few weeks. Anyhow found that the carpet was damp in my car on on the passengers front side directly under glove box and passenger rear side directly behind passenger front seat. I found where i beleive the water was getting into my car, directly under passsenger front seat there is 2 metal vents (pipes) and this seems to be the point were water is getting into my car. I was told to take out the 2 polen filters under mu bonnet and check for leaf's etc, did thid and there was a few leaf's there and a stone so cleared that all out and blew out the filters.

Are there any other factors that nmay cause this problem please ? I am not a technical person any help would be greatly appreciated .

Thank you

Do you have a sunroof? It may leak.

I don't have the sunroof, but I remember this issue has been talked over on the forums. If I remember it at all, there are some water removal pipes that may get clogged and then the water leaks inside.
Try searching.

Check the drain pipes under the hood. You will have to take the Air filter container off to get to it. Clean it out and you should be good.

There are drain tubes around the sunroof area. There are threads of people pouring water down these tubes to see if it will exit from around the bottom of the car. If the tube is clogged, water will leak in the car.
