Hey All,

I must have driven through something and found this awful black sticky tar stuck to my wheels. It looks like road tar.

anyway, it was going "whack, whack whack" every time the wheel turned around, so i pulled up at a jetwash and asked the guy to have a go at blasting it off.

Most of it cleared, but i was horrified to see it had been blasted on to the body work! I tried cleaning it off, and no way.

its nasty, sticky tar stuff that if you try and scrape off with your nail, just smudges.

I'm absolutely wounded, my bodywork was mint :-(

Any ideas people, it's really unsettling me, and it's splattered all over the car, these fine black gooey lumps!!

Thanks in anticipation.

Kash.

It's Orc blood. You'll need to take it to Gondor for this.
The jetwashers of Rohan simply cannot remove such material.

WD-40 is pretty good for removing tar type substances without harming your paint IF you are careful and only use it in the affected area, wash it off completely, and follow-up with a good polish and wax.
