Release cash???? man, I had to pay extra to trade my 535d in for a 520d, and I assume you will be too...

Just spent the weekend in london, and I must admit, I saw far too many 520s there But then again, if you are "parked" on the m25, it really does not make a difference if you have 177hp or 286hp

btw - never looked back - the decision to downgrade was the way to go...
I will "release cash" in the short term. Sell my 535d ( I own this outright) , put down a small deposit ( a few K) on a lease purchase agreement, and make small monthly payments. From a cashflow point of view it makes more sense than having money tied up in a depreciating asset especially as I have large payments to make on outgoings at the moment.

Of course in the long term this will "cost" me more money than keeping my current car, but , barring some tragedy, I should release equity from the 535d.

I agree it will be the right decision.

if cash is the issue, can't you just take money out since your car is paid off.
Like going to the bank and giving the title for x amoung of pounds and make contribution towards that.
It is always nice to get a new car though.

I would definitely get USB but wouldn't worry about the night vision, I have it and hardly use it, instead I would spend that money on the Individual Audio which is well worth it and gets used a lot more.

Couldn't agree more on the choice of colours!

Through-load and USB are a must have IMHO.
I also recommend the L7 stereo, but maybe the HiFi stereo already meets your needs.

I just spent the weekend in the UK with my E60 and spent most of the time being greatful of having an auto! IMHO the 520d is more than enough for the UK and definately the smart choice.

The only option you are missing is: Ventilated seats Other than that, it's perfect.

Of course I could just take out a loan , but i'm itching for a new car ! I want to kill 2 birds etc...
It'll be the first time that my new car is the same marque as the one it replaces. I would probably have gone for an audi a6 avant if head up display were available on that car.
