Hey guys. I (fairly recently) upgraded from my first car, a 95 E34 525i, to an 04 E60 525i. I am trying to learn as much about my car as I can, and have a few specific questions. Do I have PDC? How would I know? And am I LCI? What is this? Sorry to be such an uninformed member, but I just want to get a better sense of what parts I can and cannot buy.

The main reason I ask is because I acquired a scrape on my front bumper and am contemplating upgrading to the mtech or m5 bumper instead of just repainting. But on Umnitza is asks "with pdc or without". Also, do I get the one with "fogs possible" or not? Thanks for any help you can give me. So far I have added rear reflectors, euro hl stickers, tint, and a sound system.

 

1. Do I have PDC? How would I know?
>> If you have PDC, you'll see about 4-6 of round items on your front and rear bumpers. This will be just below the top bumper line. These are the parking distance sensors.

2. And am I LCI? What is this?
>> No, you're not LCI since you're an '04. US model cars began in '08 for the LCI models. LCI = LifeCycle Impulse.

3. Do, do I get the one with "fogs possible" or not?

I don't think you have PDC. I have a 04 525 and I have the umnitza bumper. You don't need the fog lights, you can use the existing ones that are OEM. What sound system did you get, I might upgrade mine? I would also recommend a sprint booster, makes a big difference in the 525. I'd get the bumper without the pdc.
