Another vote for Silver Grey and I would go for a black or auburn interior. I originally wanted titanium silver but after seeing silver grey in person, the titanium silver color looked "washed out" and did not bring out the car's angles nearly as well - there is a reason why BMW used silver grey on most of the original 5-series advertising and I believe the color was developed specifically for the car. I also think silver grey hides dirt better.

Just my $0.02.

Get black and have your yard man wash it once a week. If it gets dusty between washes I just run it through a brushless car wash when I fill up with gas. In four and a half years I have only washed my car twice or so myself and that was two times too many.

To me black just looks so good with the black shadowline trim and tinted windows and the privacy sun shades.

Osama Arafat has black interior with the brushed aluminum instead of wood and I must say it looks fantastic. Yesterday I helped my sales rep build an M5 they had to spec out before production started. She had built it with black exterior and black interior and I convinced here to include the brushed aluminum interior like Osama's car. It looks really sporty. It was fun building the car...too bad it wasn't for me though. I also convinced her to add the HUD, which would have been a crime to order without in that car.

Good luck with whatever you choose. They all look good.

I have silver gray. It's a beautiful color, and I read that it was developed specifically for the E60 to compliment the lines of the car. Very low maintenance. Click on My Gallery below for pix.

I've had black interior on my last several cars. Looks sporty, and very low maintenance. I have the anthracite maple wood, which I also like a lot. Here's interior pix of my car:

Hi all. I just found this Forum. It seems like a great place to discuss BMW's and learn. I having a tough time determining the color of my new 530. I am in the process of buying, but I can't decide on the color. I have been going back and forth between Black Sapphire Metallic, Silver Titanium Metallic, and Silver Grey Metallic.

I have now ELIMINATED Black Sapphire Metallic. I think it is a beautiful color, but I think the upkeep would be tough. So, I am down to Silver Titanium Metallic and Silver Grey Metallic and the interior choice for the two. Can I get some opinions as to which color of the two you folks would suggest? For interior I am considering Black or grey, or ? Thank you for any help.

Welcome BMWDaug! My first chice is Mystic Blue...but from your choices I would go with Silver Titanium Metalic with Black interior. Check out wiszmaster's car before his accident beautiful color.

Good luck!!!
[/quote]Dog, Dawg, Daug, Doug. It's a noun conjugation problem. And, Mystic Blue is gorgeous. Is your car Mystic Blue? I looked back, and, yes, it is. Is it as hard to keep clean and unscratched as black--assuming you have had a black car.? Is your car really the same blue as wizmaster's? I only looked at the first post in your link. Did he get a blue one later (too many posts to go through)?

Regardless, like some of the others, Doug, I go with silver gray metallic/grey interior. I like a "one-color" car. In this regard, Titanium Silver would work well. Silvers are so easy to keep clean, and you can look at them twice in the same place without them scratching (or at least showing the scratches). You might want to check out the members' gallery pics. Mine are linked in my sig.

I owned a Titanium Silver M3 in the past and like the color but the Silver Grey is definitely nicer IMHO. Look at them both in person if you can.

I like the black leather interior in a silver/grey car. I have a blue car with grey interior.

In short, I agree with stream. Make sure to check out the photos in the information section:

Also it all boils down to personal preference but for interior I would go with black or grey. Auburn would be the bold but nice choice. I would never consider beige as an option unless I was getting blue or black for the exterior. I went with the black.
