Hello all,

Long time no talk... XD
this is my first post since +- 2 years ago Hope everyone is well.
So, I just Got a new problem with my car today.
Just a couple of minutes ago I started my car, and as soon as I twisted the key to start position, It went blacked out (after the first starter motor sound). It did that 3 times with the same result. then the 4th times I tried, it also went out (after the first starter motor sound) but suddenly about 3 seconds later it continue the starting process and the engine finally started with rough and hesitant idle for about 5 seconds.

The car is 08/2004 530i 140.000km with M54 motor.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

With 140k km, I'm wondering when your plugs were last changed, and if that could be it.

Mine idles a little rough right now, at 105k miles, and I need to change the plugs. I feel pretty sure that'll fix my issue.

Did you figure your problem out? It could be the plugs, but if it blacks out, I would bet it's not the plugs. It sounds electrical. Battery?
