Hi there,
I got a Japanese spec E60 with dvd navigation, however, the radio (FM) frequency seems only works in Japan. the range is from 89Mhz to 94Mhz. (or something like that)
I was wondering if anyone knows how to broaden the range or any method to make it work in Oceania or US region.
Thanks

A few years ago jap import cars where very popular in the uk, the fm tuner stopped at the top end around 88.1 ish you could buy a fm shifter that knocked it up to the standard range , however the display was never correct. I will have a dig round to see what they are , you had to put them inline in the back of your radio aerial plug.

is this the only way? (to in-line a fm shifter). any easier way like using DIS or GT2 to decode, change firmware version or similar way?
or I need a different FM tuner that is suitable for local country.
