the typical passenger is usually a female.

if she is 150 lbs or over, you might have a bigger problem on your hands than suspension height... ? ?

Agree - and not just with BMWs

Really? thats weird... so with a passenger the car is actually "unbalanced?"

Everything's a compromise. Frankly I don't think anyone could notice a difference. The alignment settings are made with weight in driver/passenger and trunk...supposedly, although I've never seen an alignment shop add sand bags to the car.

here are my 2 cents and have noticed the same at time in my car. It is the active supension, when you parked either it was adjusting or something and when you turned the car off the supension stayed the same. I have noticed my car do that a few time when i go into my drive way as the result of a turn the car is lower in one side more thatn the other.

Humm you know what... Today I noticed that tha passenger wheel gap is A LOT smller than the rest... perticular compared to the drivers side front... Theres are the meausrements I got... I drive around braked, accelerated and measured in different areas around the block and it still comes out that the passenger front is lower... This wasnt the case before... I just noticed it a little last night and today I investigated...

Front Drivers Gap: 2 3/4 inches

Front Passengers: 2 inches

Rear Drivers: 2 1/2

Rear Passenger: a little under 2 1/2

whats up with the front passenger??

Oh and if it matters... I had it in for an oil service change yesterday at the dealer... would putting it on a lift affect it for THAT long? its has been driven about 100 miles since then already...

EBMCS03,

When I took it to dealer they told me it was within specs. I didn't complain much more about that issue because they had just got me new Dunlop?s. I just consider that the car looks better on that side.

Ya I figured thats the excuse... i think within 3/4" is still "within specs" so cant do much about it... I'll monitor how it goes... just bugs me that i know somthing is "not right"

I'm not sure it matters or that anything is "wrong". When the car is in motion the system is actively changing the stiffness and settings, so when it matters - when the car is in motion, all is probably as it should be.

I'd imagine that it's nearly impossible to create a situation where the hydraulic medium and pressure drains/settles uniformly throughout the system after the car has been turned off. This likely manifests itself as these slight differences in standing height from wheel to wheel.
