Tonight when I started my car the iDrive won't turn on and the engine light came on and the transmission warning light came on every 1 min before the
warning light came on both needles on gauge drop then go back. **No power lost.

I had these same issue before (two weeks ago) and took the car to dealer, which they replace fuse and "30g relay".

Now my car is out of New car warranty, but has CPO. Should I worry if they going to said it not cover under CPO?

How can a blown fuse and bad relay happen twice in two weeks?

Are there other issue I should be worries?

My Car fixed it self. I just started the car, the iDrive work and no engine light.

Could this possibly be battery going bad or alternator?

Update:

Dealer does not see any fault code and can't find anything wrong with battery, alternator, fuse nor the relay.

The tech even took the car for a long test drive to see if issue will happen, but nothing. After few minutes chat with SA, he think the issue might be cause by incompatible phone, which my case is iphone4.

He recommend to delete it from idrive and see if the issue happen again. Also, if the phone is the cause of issue then it's not cover under warranty.

Question to anyone who got iphone4 and E60 07, do you have any electronic issue after pair iphone4 jailbreak and non-jailbreak to the car?

I will try to find out what version of iDrive.
