Default Help with disconnected wire from connector X11012 and CAN communication errors

Hi everyone,

I need some help troubleshooting issues on my BMW.
  1. In the trunk, I found a wire pulled out from connector X11012. The wire that came out is green with a yellow stripe. Along with it, there is another wire red with a black stripe, which has power running through it. Could someone please confirm the function of this green/yellow wire, and whether it could be related to my current problems?
  2. I am also getting several CAN communication errors (I will upload a photo of the fault codes). At the moment, my IHKA module shows activity (climate control panel responds), but the blower does not turn on at all. On top of that, my SZL module is not working – DSC cannot be switched off, and PDC is not working either.
Has anyone experienced this combination of issues before, and could the disconnected wire be the cause? Any advice on how to trace this fault would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

You didn't state the year and model of your car, so I'm doing a bit of guessing here. Looking in TIS at pre-August 2005 (my best guess based on your images) I think that it goes in pin 15. I can't find a pinout of the connector so I was just looking through various diagrams that list X11012. In German, green is "grun" and yellow is "gelb", hence the "GN/GE" label I highlighted.

Regarding the pin 6 red and black wire, looks like it powers up the siren and tilt alarm sensor.

Sorry, I forgot to mention – my car is an E60 525d, June 2004 build. Regarding the wiring diagram you shared, I also thought that this wire should go to pin 15, but the strange thing is that pin 15 is already occupied with the exact same color wire (green with yellow stripe). That’s why I got totally confused. The alarm itself seems to be working fine, though.
