I've had the car for two days now, and I noticed just now that the hazzard symbol comes up where the milage is displayed, so I went into idrive to the service, and went to the check control messages and it said service due, ive had the thing for two day and I know it was there yesterday as well as when I picked it up. It also says when I am in there that my BMW dealer could not be automatically reached, and I am wondering if there is a problem with the car or it's just some software glitch that needs to be erased. The car doesn't seem to have any problems but who knows...please help with any suggestions.

I brought it back to the dealer and they simply reset the service indicator. That was last week, and it's been OK ever since.
New owners -- when you see the exclamation point in a triangle symbol, be sure to check the Check Control messages. You'll be embarassed if you bring it to the dealer because your seatbelt isnt buckled...or you're low on fuel. Both of those trigger that symbol.

It took about 20 minutes from the time I showed up to the time I drove off.
I was able to reach my sales associate on a Saturday and tell him of the problem. He said, "Just bring it in first thing Monday morning and don't worry we'll take care of it right away" and that's exactly what happened. That's the type of service I expect for a 2-day-old car.

I went in today, and they couldn't find anything wrong, but I didn't have time to wait, I asked them if it was okay to drive and such and they said yes. They believe that when they put in all the info for the BMW assist something might have happened, so next week I'm bring it in and they are going to look at it and said most likely that they will just reset it like mentioned above.
