Text is only available with the in-dash CD player, not with the DVD player, nor with the CD changer.

I burned a CD using Nero with the CD-Text option on and tested in my car. I don't see anything when I am on the CD menu in the iDrive.

OK, i finally took a shot of my idrive screen while playing a CD that has text on it. My car was built in May and I am not aware of any software updates for idrive that would have been installed. However, it does not show text on all cd's.
(I admit, the CD was not my choice, but one of my kids' selections)

I can't see the name of the song/track either. I recieved my car a few weeks ago and had a SW update when Sirius was installed last week.
