I pulled off to the side. Turned the car off, tried to turn it on repeatedly but it would not start. It finally turned on and the transmission warning was off and it drive fine.

I am working on getting pics uploaded.
Definitely battery issue, my car exhibited these symptoms (and a lot more) a few years ago, everything was ok after I replaced the battery. At least have the battery checked.

Also the car on the lift is a message to have your car serviced that can be reset in the iDrive. I would also have the fluid changed in the transmission. The other messages might be pointing to the battery going bad. Start with a battery check/change and go from there. You are over the point of have the trans fluid changed so I would do it.

So I just brought it into the dealer, they said it has a brand new battery and they are going to run a diag. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

They said that they tried to run a diag but the computer on the car was not communicating so they did a "hard restart" on it. Anyone have any idea what that is? Seems to be running fine now.

A hard reset is setting something back to factory default. The dealership reset it to when it drove out the factory.

This problem has happened all over again. I was sitting at a light RPM's went down to 0. Had to hit press the start button again and then car said transmission malfunction. I'm going to go crazy.
