Default Helicoil for Intake manifold bolt

Hey guys,

I bought a Craftsman digital torque wrench to get proper torque for the intake manifold of a 2006 530i (N52 Engine). When I took out the bolt (M7X50-U1) for replacement of new gaskets and so forth, the bolt came out with the helicoil that goes with it.

Can anyone tell me or provide a link of where I can buy a new helocoil for the aforementioned bolt?

RealOEM.com * BMW E60 530i Intake manifold system

Thanks for your help!

Daniel

Lesson Learnt: Taking the intake manifold out too often is guaranteed to damage the HELICOIL. :-(

Only page I see with Helicoils is this one:
RealOEM.com BMW E60 530xi Cylinder crankcase/Heli-Coil insert

That might mean this bolt was previously repaired by someone. I don't see any BMW parts for M7 Helicoil.

Thanks, twh.

I think the helicoil came off with the bolt because I took the intake manifold off at least four times (once too often!) within the last three months. To think one was bad enough, I think I have two striped bolts with the same helicoil issue. :-(

I saw this at Oreilly's Auto Parts: Heli-Coil 5546-7 - Metric Thread Repair Kit | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Is that the right part for the fix? It's for an M7X1. My part is M7X50-U1.

Regarding to M7x50-U1, is the number 50 the length of the bolt? And is U1 the length/distance "between threads"?

I am starting to think all the threads in our "aluminum engine" are made of very fragile helicoil. :-(

Somebody, please help me fix this problem (begging).

Dan, I don't have any experience with helicoil. Hopefully, techs/experts chime in.

Good luck with the fix.

He who keeps breaking, better find a second source of income for a wrong hobby; or better of leaving it to the professionals? j/k :-)

I think I striped two intake manifold bolts. lol

Can you post a picture of the bolt and the helicoil that came out with it?

Thanks to Schpenxel, I just found out that thing is not a heli-coil. He said it's a thread ripped out and he is right because it totally feels like aluminum and fragile!

I am picking this up tomorrow: http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/HEL0/55467.oap
Since the threads is ripped out, can this still fit or do I need to go one size bigger?

i'd guess that was caused by over-tightening previously??
