Headlights on/off switch changed.

My Ride: 535D Sport Auto
In my last E60, with non active xenons, I was always switching them off and inadvertantly switching back on again because I was going through the off position to auto function. In the manual it says the life of xenons is reduced the more times they are switched on and off.
In my new E60 with active xenons there is a delay on the switch that prevents them being turned on and off.
Did BMW acknowledge this problem and rectify it?
Anyone noticed this and is it just on the active xenon option?

[/quote]The light switches are the same on all e60's. I'm saying that if you switch off or go from normal on position (far right) to auto-active (far left) passing thru "off" the headlights lights stay on for a few seconds presumably to increase the life of the xenons
