I used a 3M kit on each headlight assembly. It took me an hour or so per headlight. Don't rush the job and you can get very good results.

I put a coat of liquid 3M wax on the headlights to protect them from UV rays.
what a difference! '

i bought the Meguiar's ball and used some polishing compound on the headlights and sidemarkers and that cleaned them up quite well.

I like the 3M kit, but I had a Porter Cable random orbital polisher so I went over them with 3M rubbing compound and Meguiar's m205. I could have also used the m105/m205 combination. I also had some extra sanding disks from a Meguiar's kit so I ended up using 500, 800, 1000, and 3000, then rubbing compound, and finally m205. Use plenty of water at each grit. If you think you sanded enough, wipe it off and sand one more time. You can get them nearly perfect. When it warms up I will polish mine again and then clear coat them to protect them.
