The display is way too low to be seen...Is there any adjustment where you can move the display up so that it can be easily seen ?

Thanks

This link is very cool in terms of explaining the technology - I had always wondered how the HUD works.

To the OP: you can adjust the brightness setting of the HUD through the iDrive. I don't know the exact sequence of menus to go through, but I recall it's pretty intuitive, as I've adjusted the brightness a couple of times.

One more comment that might help you out: the HUD appears very dim if you're using polarized sunglasses, so you'll need to ditch those to see the HUD clearly.

Good luck!

UPDATE: Apologies, I misread the OP. I thought OP was talking about brightness adjustment, not the height of the HUD.

I don't know what kind of polarized sunglasses your wearing but when I use mine I can't see the HUD at all.

And in case anyone is interested, the HUD in the F10 is height adjustable via iDrive and has a much larger range of motion.

OP, have you tried adjusting the seat height? The hud is probably set to be spot on for the higher seat position. All of mine have been. The Performance Center and other places I've been, also recommend raising the seat until you have about a fist width of clearance. It may not be the low laid back position that looks so cool, but is better for control of the car and accident safety. Just don't get too close to the wheel and air bag.
